We are professionals who have come together and are determined to use our positions and influence in the society to bring a change in the lives of less privileged and ailing Nigerians.
Our staff is dedicated, passionate and determined in our Vision and goals. We are genuinely interested in preventing cervical cancer and breast cancer deaths in women. It is our desire to help all Nigerians achieve complete health in their lives.
Dr Matilda Kerry is the Founder of the George Kerry Life Foundation.
She is a Primary Health physician with a special interest in Women’s Health. Dr Kerry gained her Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria also completing the Public Health and Health Promotion Course at the same institution in 2006.
She served as the Director of Communications to the National Cervical Cancer prevention Programme in 2009 and received training in Cervical cancer prevention at the University College Hospital London, in April 2010.
She has been trained in minor surgery and cryosurgery by the Royal College of GP's London in 2012. She launched and now oversees the extensive cervical health campaign of the George Kerry Life Foundation.
She held the renowned and glamorous title of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria in 2000 and represented Nigeria in both the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants. She is the African youth Role Model of the year 2011 (African Youth Society) and a Fellow of “The Emblem of Africa” (African Youth Society)
Mr. Akinmolu Opeodu (Board Member)
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants UK and Chairman Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc.
He is presently the Managing Director of VT Leasing Limited (a pioneering equipment leasing company in Nigeria), and a Director of Multinational Technologies Limited (an oil service company). With a background in finance and insurance, he sits on the Board of several other reputable companies
Ms Rachael Kerry (Board Member)
She started her career in insurance and risk management in 2005. A member of the prestigious chartered insurance institute ofNigeria, Rachael is also an alumnus of the university of Lagos of which and is also a member of the Actuarial club, university of Lagos.
She holds a Masters degree in international Business from the University of Aberdeen Scotland. She has worked with Central Insurance, Adic Insurance both in Marketing and operations and also as a marketing executive for Zenith Bank.
Dr Uzoamaka Igwilo (Cervical health campaign Manager)
She is a young resourceful Medical Doctor with a passion and flare for public health awareness creation.
She was Head of programmes for the National Cervical cancer Prevention Programme and is presently Campaign Manager of the cervical health Campaign for George Kerry Life Foundation.
She is also pursuing a career in public health at the prestigious Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
Mr. Samuel Modupe Johnson (Board Member)
He is an advertising practitioner. He studied English at University of Lagos and went on to obtain a Diploma in Advertising and Marketing from CAM Foundation, London. He has been in advertising since 1981 working in two of Nigeria’s biggest advertising agencies.
He was also the Client Service Director and a Board Director at Rosabel Advertising Limited, a top advertising agency in Nigeria. Over the years, he has worked on the marketing communication plans of a range of brands covering different product categories in Nigeria.
Dr Cynthia Ebie (Head - Donor relations)
She is a Medical Doctor who gained her MBBS at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL), Nigeria in 2008. She heads several public health programmes in the local community of Lekki, Lagos, using the Primary Health care centers as a channel to disperse cervical health awareness.
She is co-producer of the annual youth empowerment awards - Grind Awards.
