We are professionals who have come together and are determined to use our positions and influence in the society to bring about healthcare reforms and in achieving our Vision.
Our staff is dedicated, passionate and determined. We are genuinely interested in preventing cancer deaths.
Dr Matilda Kerry (Founder and CEO)
Dr Matilda Kerry is the Founder of the George Kerry Life Foundation.
She is a community health doctor with a special interest in Women?s Health. Dr Kerry gained her Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria also completing the Public Health and Health Promotion Course at the same institution in 2006.
She served as the Director of Communications to the National Cervical Cancer prevention Programme in 2009 and received training in Cervical cancer prevention at the University College Hospital London, in April 2010.
She has been trained in minor surgery and cryosurgery by the Royal College of GP's London in 2012. She launched and now oversees the extensive cervical health campaign of the George Kerry Life Foundation.
She held the renowned and glamorous title of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria in 2000 and represented Nigeria in both the Miss Universe and Miss World pageants. She is the African youth Role Model of the year 2011 (African Youth Society) and a Fellow of ?The Emblem of Africa? (African Youth Society). She is a member of the West African College of Physicians, Public Health Faculty.
Ms Rachael Kerry (Board Member)
She started her career in insurance and risk management in 2005. A member of the prestigious chartered insurance institute of Nigeria, Rachael is also an alumnus of the university of Lagos of which and is also a member of the Actuarial club, university of Lagos.
She holds a Masters degree in international Business from the University of Aberdeen Scotland. She is a management member of the institute of customer services, Uk, an affiliate of the Chartered Management Institute UK and a member of the Chartered insurance institute of Nigeria.
Mr. Akinmolu Opeodu (Board Member)
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants UK and Chairman Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc.
He is presently the Managing Director of VT Leasing Limited (a pioneering equipment leasing company in Nigeria), and a Director of Multinational Technologies Limited (an oil service company). With a background in finance and insurance, he sits on the Board of several other reputable companies
Dr Uzoamaka Igwilo (Cervical health campaign manager)
She is a young resourceful Medical Doctor with a passion and flare for public health awareness creation.
She was Head of programmes for the National Cervical cancer Prevention Programme and is presently Campaign Manager of the cervical health Campaign for George Kerry Life Foundation.
She is also a senior registrar at the department of community medicine, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos.
Mr. Samuel Modupe Johnson (Board Member)
He studied English at University of Lagos and went on to obtain a Diploma in Advertising and Marketing from CAM Foundation, London. He has been in advertising since 1981 working in two of Nigeria?s biggest advertising agencies. He was also the Client Service Director and a Board Director at Rosabel Advertising Limited, a leading advertising agency in Nigeria. Over the years, he has worked on the marketing communication plans of a range of brands covering different product categories in Nigeria.
Dr Cynthia Ebie (Head - Donor relations)
She is a Medical Doctor who gained her bachelor degree in Medicine and surgery from the college of medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL), Nigeria in 2008.
She heads several public health programmes in the local community of Lekki, Lagos, using the Primary Health care centers as a channel to disperse cervical health awareness.
She is a registrar at the department of Internal medicine, Lagos University teaching hospital Idi-Araba, Lagos.
She is a philanthropist and co-producer of an annual youth empowerment awards "Grind Awards"
